The Biker

The biker invites people to bike. Participants will have the opportunity to ride on a stationary tandem bike for five minutes to power the big bike sculpture which will be given life when it moves the legs and the wings. it will create a shadow on the wall. The biker honors the biking culture in Minneapolis.

Through his work as a sculptor and muralist as well as an art teacher, public artist Victor Yepez has exposed many people to the power and healing that art can provide. Found objects and recycled materials, influence many of Yepez’s sculptures while rich colors and movement are hallmarks of his murals.

Jon “Huckleberry” Stoike is a long time puppeteer and builder in the Twin Cities including HOBT’s Mayday, BareBones’ Halloween and Dumpster Duels, Northern Spark Greenway Glow.

Richard Parnell enjoys creating and collaborating with artists on public art projects: art shanties, art car/bike/contraptions, parades, festivals, installations, puppetry, theater, etc. His work includes: PedalBear/Matowskatonka Shanty, Monarch Migration Shanty, Garden Variety Truck, Dragonfly Bike, The Emperor’s New Car, and the  Kaleidoscope.
