Featuring live music, poetry, song, open mic and more, The Rondo Stage at Hallie Q. Brown is a destination space during Northern Spark 2019, offering a rich sample of the talent, skill and legacy of artistic excellence coming from this historic and diverse community.

Tish Jones is a cultural practitioner born and raised in Saint Paul, Minnesota with a passion for poetry, Hip Hop, youth development and black liberation. Founder & Executive Director of TruArtSpeaks and Co-Festival Director of Brave New Voices, Jones’ work centers those most often rendered invisible, provides platforms and creates spaces to cultivate the voices of historically marginalized communities so they can be heard and utilizes culturally relevant pedagogy – specifically Hip Hop pedagogy – as a tool for social transformation, liberation and education.
